bullet  General Notes:

Passing away peacefully at the Heritage Convalescent Center in American Fork.

Grace was born in Mammoth, Utah to John and Clara Hales Mordue. In the Salt Lake Temple, she married Sidney H. Hayward September 17, 1930. A faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the couple served two building missions in Stevanage, England and Sendai, Japan, where she made life long friends.

Employed for the BYU Food services for eleven years, she served as a Relief Society president in the Spanish Fork 6th and 19th Wards. A Provo Temple worker for ten years, she was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Yeshara Club.

Survived by her sons: Ed (Bonnie) Hayward, Wallace (Rickie) Hayward, Sidney Blaine (Rosalee) Hayward, and Bruce (Deanie) Hayward, a daughter, Jackie (Jed) Pritchett; 28 grandchildren and 67 great grandchildren, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Fred, Elmo, Walter and Jack Mordue; and sisters, Nora Johnson Butler and Helen Wilson.

Besides living in her Spanish Fork home for 66 years, she also lived in Benjamin and Spring Lake. A graduate of Spanish Fork High School, Class of 1930, Grace enjoyed quilting and making quilts for all her children and grandchildren. Cooking and baking was another one of her special interest that included having family and friends for dinner. She had fond feelings for her neighbors, friends, nieces and nephews and her Ludlow stepbrothers and sisters; Grace was always ready to share with kindness and good deeds.
