bullet  General Notes:

Could he be the one who dies in 1617 and leaves a bequest to the poor of Mountsorrel?
(which is very near Rothley) and is also listed in the govt papers thus

House of Commons papers page 321 Mr Richard Nidd, by the city of London, by his will, dated 31st July 1617, gave 300 l to the corporation to be laid out in landof the yearly value of 15 l the corporation purchased the estate at bushby which now lets for 70 L a year for the poor of mountsorrel where the testator was born. the whole rent is paid over to the parish officers of mountsorrel who distributes its or it is supposed to do amongst the poor.

Interestingly, in 1874, there was a charity notice that richard Nidds' charity being transferred to new trustees resident in Mountsorrel

Name: Nedd, Richard
Dates: 1617
Place: General, England

Collection: England: Canterbury - Wills Proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 1605-1619
Text: 1617 Nedd, Richard, scryvenor, St. Pancras near Soper Lane, London 80 Weldon

What worries me, it that there is a burial for a Richard Nidd in Grantham in 1617, different month. Is it possible that my Richard Nidd is not the Richard nidd from Leicester? It is possible

bullet  Research Notes:

Stephen Kinge, one of his exececutors
was also afreeman as he had been Richard's apprentice

He also had a son, Richard Nydd son of Richard Nyd of MountSorrel, co Leics, fellmonger, app to Henry Anthony7 October 1596, so probably born c 1582 - fits within the group

maybe this is the Richard Nidd ) son of 256) who is buried at Rothely on Mar 24 1611, before his father.
