Re: Esther Tickner:
Esther was widowed when she was about 40 years old, Charles and Esther had 11 children together. After his death she met James Ingleman at Nyora in South Gippsland, when the railway was being put through. There was a camp at Nyora for the Railway,
and to make ends meet Esther took in boarders. Three weddings resulted from this enterprise, one of which was her own to James Ingleman. James Snr was said to have been a gentle man, who took on the role of father to the younger Nelson children. He
was much loved. Esther and James had one child, James. Much of the information regarding this branch of the family was kindly given by Mary Hoppen.

Have been unable to find a marriage for Esther and James, although her death was registered as Ingleman.

Esther married Charles Nelson on 14 Feb 1890 in Malvern, Victoria, Australia.¹ (Charles Nelson was born on 14 Mar 1865 in Fredrekstad, Norway ¹ and died after 1912.)

Esther next married James Ingleman. (James Ingleman was born circa 1865 ¹ and died in 1947 in Warrugal ^{1 3}.)
