in 1871 when she dies says 75 therefore circa 1796

I know it seems odd after all this time, but I think Jane is the sibling of teh William Powe sp Grace, Carpenter living in Alwington in 1851.
In 1841 this William and Grace is int eh same location - Wood Town - with his two children William and Elizabeth

Although claiming to be a widow when died, it seems unlikely as John pow is identified as being illegitimate

this one below is a better bet for the baptism of Jane Pow
