Milford Haven

THE death of Hilda Marion Freathy (nee Powe) of Milford Haven, occurred at home on December 13th.

A native of Swansea, she trained as a nurse and worked for several years at Cefn Coed hospital before moving to Goodwick with her husband.

In 1957 she moved to Milford Haven and for many years was the publican of the Dinas Hotel, in Victoria Road. Hilda spent a lot of time with her family. She enjoyed meeting people and travelling, spending time in Norway and Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband Hoskin in 1986. Family left to mourn and principal mourners are: Dianne and Fritz (daughter and son-in-law); Marian and Victor (daughter and son-in- law); Paul and Iris (son and daughter in law). Malcolm, Charles and Donna, Helene, Annalisa and Tom, Iestyn and Gethin (grandchildren and partners); James, Elle, Olivia, Ewan and Lewis (great-grandchildren); Leonard Charles Powe (brother), also Julie, Alun, John, Garnett (nephews and nieces).

The funeral was held at Hamilton Court funeral home on December 17th and was officiated by Rev Paul Bartlett Unable to attend were Alun and Susan (grandson and wife) Megan and Dylan (great-grandchildren, New Zealand).

The bearers were John Williams (nephew), Tom Price (grandson-in-law), Charles Larsen (grandson), and Paul Freathy (son).

Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Paul Sartori Foundation.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Son, Milford Haven.
