suspect that this is the family can't find any others and I know Jane (Janet) ended up in Nottingham where she met and married Charles Robert Nidd and that she had a sister Helen (Ellen/Helen are often interchangeable)
According to daughter Helen's marriage cert
John Turner was a "Civil Engineer' and not indicated as deceased (1899)
but a check of all the certified engineer index shows no sign of him. I suspect 'railway engineer' more likely
Plus although he is not indicated as deceased on the marriage cert. He is indicated as deceased on the forthcoming announcement of marriage which appeared in the paper in March 1899

bullet  Research Notes:

Death as per marriage cert of Janet - prior to 1895 - free bmd is not yet inclusive - as of may 31 2003 - too many across the country , too many gaps - to find a suitable one in nottingham. Need to look at gros if i have the time - etobicoke or other

This is a possible despite the wife indicated as Mary. (Mary Ellen???)
JOhn and spouse lodging in Nottingham

this is a possibility - they could have come over from Ireland, then briefly went to USA, then back

4 (1861 English and Welsh Census(London, TNA/Ancestry.co.uk, 1962) , Web site showing copies of original enumerator schedules) ID: CEN 1861, See image. Repository: LDS, Brampton. Surety: 1. Name not right for wife, but Mary could be "Mary Ellen"
it's the most logical one, seeing as Helen claims Nottingham as her birth place.
