John married Susanna Rylott, daughter of John Rylatt and Jane White, on 9 Feb 1836 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England.1 2 (Susanna Rylott was born in 1809 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England 6, baptized on 21 Feb 1809 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England, died on 4 Apr 1884 in Tottenham, Middlesex, England 18 19 20 and was buried on 9 Apr 1884 in Kirton, Lincolnshire, England 21.). The cause of her death was Apolplexy 2 days.13

bullet  Marriage Notes:

Although John Nidd claims to be a single man when he marries Susannah, I do wonder if he had been married before - he was 41 when their first (illegitimate) child was born
and I have always puzzled why they never married until 1836 (after birth of child #4) maybe 'single man' was a nod towards the fact they had children - as everyone else in the register is called 'spinster' or batcherlor or 'widower, or widow. maybe it was a way of acknowleding they had children
