On 18 Oct 1896 records show that a three year old son William John was baptised to Wm and Rosetta Hales, brickmaker, of Upchurch, could be this William?

In 1901 British Census aged 32, aglab, he was living as a boarder with Edward Davison 70, and daughter, Adelaide 28 in Hartlip.
William is alleged to re-marry in 1904, BMD Dec 1904 2a 2104 Milton. wife name to be confirmed.
